Glow Animation

November 28, 2007

Step 1 Open Adobe ImageReady and create a new file. Type some text. Go to Layer > Layer Style > Outer Glow and set the size to the 4 value. Try to have something similar with the image:

outerglow.gif

Step 2 Now make three copies of the text layer.

Step 3 Change the value of the size in the outer glow palette of the duplicated layers to the values: 8,12 and 16.

Step 4 Now we have to make frames from layers. Hide all the three duplicated layers and go to Window > Animation. You will have one frame. To create the other 4 that we need, select the first layer and click Duplicates current frame and make visible the first duplicated layer. Repeat this for the rest of the layers. In the end you should have obtained something similar with this:

Step 5 Now you have to set the timings for frames. Select the layers and hit the arrow to choose the time. Look at the image for a better understanding:

Step 6 You can see the result in your browser. Go to File > Preview In > Click the browser you want

Step 7 Save the file: File > Save Optimized As. See the result:

See Simple Animation with Adobe ImageReady Tutorial for a better understanding of making animation.
