Adding Blur Effect To A Text Using Flash
Step 1 Open a new Flash file File > New (Ctrl N).
Step 2 Set the dimensions for the document 550 x 50 pixels and the background color black using Modify > Document (Ctrl J)
Step 3 Rename the first layer Blur
Step 4 Insert a new layer. Rename this layer Text.
Step 5 Select the Frame 84 of the both layers.
Step 6 Right click on the selected frames and select Insert Frames.
Step 7 Right click on the 12th frame of the text layer and choose Convert To Blank Keyframe.
Step 8 Select this frame and write a text.
Step 9 Right click on the 70 frame of the text layer and choose: Insert Blank Keyframe
Step 10 Right click on the 9th frame of the blur layer and choose: Insert Blank Keyframe
Step 11 Select Rectangle Tool (R), and draw in the left side of the scene a rectangle with a size almost like the text.
Step 12 Using Selection Tool double click on the stroke (the rectangler margin and hit delete key)
Step 13 Go to Window > Design Panels > Color Mixer (Shift F9) and try to have the same settings like in the next image:

• First color: #FFFFFF with 0% alpha
• Second color: #E3FB3E with 100% alpha
• Third color: #FDFD2D with 100% alpha
• Fourth color: #FFFFFF with 0% alpha

Step 14 Right click on the shape created and choose Convert to Symbol… and then choose Movie Clip.
Step 15 Right click on the 11 frame on the blur layer and select Insert Keyframe.
Step 16 Move the yellow shape to be approximatively over the text.

Step 17 Right click on the 9 frame of the blur layer and select Create Motion Tween.
Step 18 Right click on the 12 frame of the blur layer and select Insert Blank Keyframe.
